The Assistive Robotics and Technology Lab (ART Lab) was founded in 2013. Our fundamental aim is to conduct innovative, cutting edge research on assistive technology to improve the quality of life for older adults, children, and at need populations. The laboratory emphasizes a unique multidisciplinary approach intersecting the fields of computer science, engineering, psychology, public health, and social work. Members of the lab are dedicated to improving the usability and design of a wide variety of assistive devices, including robotics and smart home technology.
