The Use of Remote Telepresence in Collegiate Classrooms to Facilitate eLearning

The goal of the project is to enhance e-Learning as it exists today. e-Learning technologies that are in use today are great tools. Students and teachers are no longer separated by time or geographical barriers. The drawback of e-Learning, however, is the lack of face-to-face communication with instructors and other peers and the lack of immersion in a classroom environment. This project will help us determine if a telepresence system can be used to better facilitate those aspects.

Exploring the Potential of Smart Presence for Retirement Community Employees

The goal of this project was to better understand what CCRC directors, nurses, and staff think about BEAM. This research will be used to develop a BEAM smart presence system that is more beneficial and easier to use in CCRC’s.
